Who can participate?
The Maryland Wood Bridge Challenge is open to ALL students enrolled in a High School program in Maryland in grades 9 through 12.
What is the Challenge?
The Maryland High School Wood Bridge Challenge is part of the Maryland Engineering Challenge Program. Students construct bridges of basswood and any commonly available adhesive. Bridge designs must conforms to specifications which change every year.
Where is the Challenge held?
The 2012 Challenge will be held at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
When is the Challenge?
The 2012 Challenge will be held on January 14, 2012.
Why participate?
Aside from the learning experience, you can win some cool prizes! The first and second
place winners in each region win a plaque and a gift card. Prizes in other categories
will be awarded, but will not be announced until the day of the Challenge.
